The 3rd (Sandra Smith and Mary Minor) 4th (Shanai Smith and Kristina McIntyre) and 5th grade (Brenda Willis and Walter Barton) English Language Arts teachers are knocking it out with instructional practices including multi syllable routines!
Students were engaged in learning and responding to teacher questioning about closed syllables or not along with the rationale behind their reasoning.
Classroom observations were conducted by principal Kris DeJarnette; instructional facilitator Takyra Hampton; DESE Literacy Specialist Thea Capps and K-6 Curriculum Specialist Yolander Brown.
