Cats move on to the District Finals with a win over Lake Village‼️
Dr. Young is the Dean of Social and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. He is a published author and has written several books and papers on research that he conducted while living in Spain for two years, and he also serves as the editor for the Association for Spanish and Portuguese Historical Studies Newsletter.
He gave a presentation to the DHS Spanish Club today over the benefits of learning a second language, and showed pictures of Spanish architecture taken from his time in Madrid and Cordoba. He also gave a brief overview of the multiple cultural influences that had an effect on what is now current Latin American Culture.
Cats remain #2 in the State in Class 3A in the Arkansas Democrat Gazette Rankings
Dumas High School students who are taking the upcoming ACT signed up to participate in the ACT Bootcamp with Dr. Charity Smith and her team. This was such a great experience and opportunity for our students.

This is a reminder that there are two opportunities for students to practice for and study for the ACT. We have ACT tutoring after school Monday - Thursday. Athletes are welcome to attend late each day. We end at 5:30 and buses are available.
Also, Friday, Feb. 10th there is an ACT Bootcamp for seniors, juniors or the sophomores and freshmen that are signed up to take the ACT on Saturday. The students should sign up on a google form that was sent to their email.
